What a wonderful hotel! We were in the Workshop room overlooking the street. A very comfortable king sized bed room with a small closet and sink in room. Our room did not have a private bathroom but the bathroom was just down the hall. The hotel is warm and very inviting - kudos to the owner for bringing life to The Columbia Hotel.

I recently stayed at the Columbia Hotel for a month during my transition from California to Oregon, and it was a delightful experience! The bed was incredibly cozy, making it feel like a home away from home. Owner Jay was fantastic—her hospitality truly made my stay special. The rooms are beautiful, featuring stunning wall murals by a talented artist that added a unique touch to the ambiance. Every morning, I enjoyed fresh coffee, snacks, and fruit, making for a great start to my day. Plus, the hotel is pet-friendly, which was a huge bonus for me! Highly recommend!

This is our second time staying here. We get the bunk rooms and everyone gets their own space. The shared private restrooms and showers are very clean and are attended to often. Everything you need is within walking distance. Plan ahead. This is a small town and most businesses close early.

We enjoyed our stay at The Columbia Hotel a few weeks ago. By far the best part about the hotel is the location! It's perfect if you are attending a play at OSF. Since it is old, the floors creak a lot. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend ear plugs. It's also a shame the window in the room couldn't be opened because of the AC unit. The room got quite stuffy at night. I like the concept of the music themed art on the walls, but execution of the room I stayed in felt a little rushed. One other improvement for the room would be to add a hand towel hook near the sink in the bedroom. Great stay overall!

While initially hesitant about the "common bathroom," we wouldn't have changed a thing. Each room is supplied with a sink, robes, towels, and amenities. The PCT hikers were an added bonus to our own Shakespearean reason for being in Ashland. Pretty cool vibe!!! We'd do it again.
